I just watched Death Cab's new video for their song No Sunlight, and first off, it was hilarious. It has them playing a game called Whirlyball and performing in a Whirlyball court. Now, this obscure video would not seem NEARLY as hilarious if I hadn't played Whirlyball multiple time. I have had two or three family gatherings playing this and a youth group event devoted to this totally random sport. My brother and my cousin also were ridiculously good at the game and made it miserable for everyone else by running up the score.
But anyway, I digress. The video is hilarious. Ben Gibbard looks very Schrute-ish with his athletic protector goggles. For some reason multiple members of the band have grown caveman beards, which I did not realize. And in the video they are playing their games against like 4 teams of little kids, so the beards make it that much funnier.
I haven't listened to this album much, but I liked the song and the video, so maybe I will take a 45 minute break from Girl Talk-ing it up and check it out. Video is posted below.
